Title: Cherry MX White
Post by: jooks1184 on Mon, 28 January 2013, 00:47:10
Anyone have any experience with Cherry MX White switches? How are they? How do they compare to MX Greens.

There are several threads concerning this matter. I only have a MX Green board and others have opined that the MX Whites provide a softer click than the MX Greens. Otherwise they are virtually identical with the force required to actuate.

I have a KBT Race with Whites. No greens to compare but the springs are way harder (obviously) than my browns or reds. In spite of that (because of it?) I find myself liking them. As others note the click isn't particularly loud. It's more of an accent in the overall key sound.

Would it be correct to assume that cherry whites have a similar feel to buckling springs when it comes to resistance?

I'd describe em as a "tame" version of the green...

Buckling Spring: 70-80cN depending on wear and tear
MX Green: 80cN +-5cN
MX White: 80cN +-5cN

Soooooooo: sorta.
