Title: Keyboard with MX Super Blacks
Post by: NDA on Mon, 28 January 2013, 22:47:00
Does any such keyboard exist. The googles doesn't appear to find any keyboard that does, so I am guessing this is a user mod type thing and if so where can the springs be had?

A handful of Cherry keyboards, and only on 1-2 keys. They're out of production and I don't know why you'd want 150 cN actuation...

1987 Wyse PC Enhanced Terminal as shipped with PC286 is most likely the only reliable example of "Super Blacks." But inconsistent. Mine sports MX Blacks of about.. I'd say 60-70cN ballpark. They are significantly heavier than MX Blues of any vintage, and butter smooth. Much smoother and heavier than modern MX Blacks.
