Just wondering if this has ever been done before? If so my apologies...

Any of those flavors of key caps ? Also where would you prefer them on the keyboard? FN row? ESC? Any ideas (http://www.warsow.net/ideas)?
Update: So these are the camo's which are available, matching up to the Filco case would be nice, but not currently possible unless it matches one of the patterns. I added some more patterns, I am currently just looking at opinions, so give me yours :D I will take this further soon :D
Right large problem, its going to cost £65 for a set of 33 keys :3 not including the actual keys so probably £100ish which is more like $150 sorry for getting anyone hopes up

Consider me interested, I have no idea what keys I would want them for, but I like the Idea.
-
Can they be produced at all (like a full set, not only small amount), and with a font?
-
If you look in Clack's Vendor forum, he has a WASD cluster that has a camo pattern.
-
Interested.. would be awesome if you could get something to match the filco camo. These would be the perfect keycaps for the board.
Personally I think they would look awesome blank - IE Camouflage the keys into the board - no markings.
-
INTERESTED!!!!

It would be really hard to do well, the camo would need to cover the whole key cap or it will look rubbish!

Yeah, that's how it will be done :D except for the inside.

Go and look up the Zerg numberpad. That's one continuous image printed across the whole numberpad.
That's what you'll need to do with the camo for it to actually look like a proper continuous pattern. :)

I haven't yet looked at that, but I was more thinking individual keys? Although I could easily get a cont. pattern going.

Imsto was doing PBT that were printed on all sides. I think he was doing spongebob faces and they looked really good. However he said they would be really hard to make/expensive

I know what I'm dong :D Although I am waiting on prices, they will be cheaper than that CC which was $300 on ebay...but :D

Just got a PM asking me to remove the first camo on the second row because it contains "the nazi flag" ... I presume they meant swastika, and for future reference, it does not.
-
Just another question, if you've had to put the Tf2 caps development on hold because of finances ect, why are you starting this one?
Not trying to stop you as I love both of the ideas, I'm just curious. :)

Because this should be cheaper :D And I am still waiting on the technology to be produced to allow me to create the TF2 keys :D

If there was like a camo patterned with white (or even hi vis orange) legends, that would be totally dope.

Probably should have mentioned, they would not be any text, the keys may be engraved? Thoughts?

Any 3d rendering picture? Interested.

Dream over me thinks...

Ya know... this may be one of the few times that the nail polish caps would be a wonderful idea as a non novelty cap. Jeroplane/Rags' girlfriends may be able to figure out how to help you, if you say please. :)

I had a method in mind, but it ended up being too expensive :3 Although if we get 10 done it drops to £40 quid each set of 37 + price of keys.
-
I'd suggest PM'ing Jeroplane or Ragnarok. Ask them about dipcapping a camo color/pattern. :)

dipcapping? Is that what they call it? lol... You know what it really is right?

Nail polish, yes I know what it is. Just thought it may be a fun idea.

Wait, now I'm confused? Also that sounded ruder' than it was supposed to and I have out-confused myself :( sorry.

Dipcaps are nail polish keycaps. Jeroplane/Ragnarok's girlfriends make them with nailpolish. I thought they may be able to help you out. Try PMing them. Jeroplane is in Australia, but (I think) has more experience. Ragnarok's girlfriend also makes them.

I'd definitely be interested in these. Great idea, Tym.

If for £100 I get a full key set your on!
