Is this branded or unbranded?
Based on the latest reviews, I'd assume they're unbranded on the front.

^ this. Although, there may be a slight chance you could get a branded one. Kinda like how most people who got the QFR with blues from Amazon mostly got unbranded, but there seemed to be a few branded ones still.

Do the brown boards go on sale?

Do the brown boards go on sale?
Don't know. It's not on sale right now, but you can always keep checking since they are trying to get rid of stock and more sales might come up.
-
Its probably because alot of retailers are trying to sell all their older inventory and fill them more with the 2013 model (unbranded)
-
Maybe the Cherry MX Red fad is over and sales decreased too much since it is priced higher than the board with MX blues and MX Reds are no longer rare.
-
Still a tempting deal.

Assuming you fill out the rebate properly, I would think pretty reliable. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

I have successfully received a couple of rebates from Cooler Master. As with most rebates they take time (2-3monts), but they have always come through.
