Post by: karljs on Sat, 02 February 2013, 14:29:53
Anybody happen to know which profile/family the Signature Plastics "standard" black/white sets for retail sale on their website are?

I *think I read that they have their own profile between cherry and OEM.

Interesting.  I know custom orders come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so I wouldn't be terribly surprised.

They are DCS profile. Some other maker also use the same profile like MX compatible BTC foam and foil and domes, and some other Chinese brands.

Have you considered contacting Signature Plastics to find this information?  I had good communication with those folks the one time I contacted them.

so far i can only speak for row 4 keys: compared to real cherry they are steeper (about 1mm higher at the rear, while only a tad lower at the front). Also my sp caps 'ride' a little higher above the keyboard (longer stems).
Once i got my extra row4 keys in the mail, i'll file down a stem by 0.5-1mm and see how that's going to turn out.
