Title: HHKB Pro arrow keys and Dvorak
Post by: thirdkind on Sat, 02 February 2013, 20:14:57
I've been using a Filco Linear R tenkeyless for a few years now, and I'm thinking of picking up a non-printed HHKB Pro for use with a Dvorak layout. Will using the Dvorak layout in my system settings affect the position of the embedded arrow keys, or are the arrow keys hard mapped no matter what layout I choose in software?

I'd assume the Arrow keys would stay arrow keys regardless of what remapping you do with software. Its as if the keyboard is sending arrow commands to the computer, not fn + key.

The keyboard is sending a hardware Arrow signal. It's not going to matter if the layout changes to dvorak.
