A nice little Ubuntu-derived Linux distro.

Have you tried it out yourself?  It sort of looks like Mac OsX (well, Mac OsX uses the unix platform too).

I played around with the live CD.  All things being equal, I'd rather have Ubuntu on my desktop.  But I like what the gOS folks have done.  I also like their partnership with Walmart...shipping the "gPC's".  :)

I played with the live CD for a few minutes in a VM (man...VMs and Live CDs....WOW).

Is the "tight Google integration" anything other than google links on the desktop?  I don't see how it's that big of a deal right now.  What am I missing?

It's not a "big deal".  It's simply "neat".  :)

I can't use it with Parallels, all I get is an f'ed up screen and a locked up program. Does this work in VMWare?

Using gos-live-1.0.1_386.iso in VMWare Fusion worked great for me.

Thanks Andrew, I'll give that a shot later, baby depending.

Using Parallels, I couldn't even boot the live CD in safe graphics mode. I'll give VMWare a shot.
