I did a little Googling.

Here is the wire I was looking at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009CN4OGM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A64DJEEWAE2I3
This same one does not have a warning: http://www.amazon.com/Vojo-Magnet-Micro-USB-Cable/dp/B007OU0A90/ref=pd_sim_cps_2

From what that PDF says, it seems to be be marked because of the plastic around the cable.
