Title: PBT Glow in the Dark
Post by: Jakus on Sat, 09 February 2013, 13:54:36
Does anyone have Signature Plastics Glow in the Dark keycap? If so, can you tell me how bright it is? I was thinking of buying one of these http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=185 and replacing all of the 1x1 keys with those. I was also going to replace the rest of the keys with blank white PBT caps.

I do...they glow quite well.  The color when not glowing it is a good solid looking bright white.

Are the glow in the dark materials used today "non" carcinogenic?

I remember there was a video I saw back when the women who painted glow paint onto clock faces got radiation poisoning.

Naw c'mon that's long past. That's more a concern for vintage wrist watches.

I'm pretty sure they don't paint the keycaps with radium.

There may be laws against that.
