prob cuz non-uniform
most keyboard enthusiasts would go into a custom layout eventually, and the non-uniform would get in the way of that.

I like it. I don't see how a custom layout would make a difference. The lighter keys are on the pinky finger. No matter how you cut it, that is always going to be your weakest finger. My topre is variable and it just feels right.

Biggest issue with variable....wasd isn't uniform. Gaming just feels weird. I still enjoy it....but I know it would just kill done people.
This is a nice price! But considering how cheap these boards are on amazon.co.jo it's no wonder EK has to drop price.

It's only if your finger placement is custom will it become an issue. The wide colemak/dvorak layouts come to mind.
WASD isn't as issue if you use ESDF for gaming like you should be :p

I use tfgh... because I though, Why not.. maximize available keys to both left and right of my hand.
