if you're not gonna run an external amp, you'll need something else like the Xonar ST/STX that has a dedicated amp.

if you're not gonna run an external amp, you'll need something else like the Xonar ST/STX that has a dedicated amp.
That is what I was afraid of, so this card doesn't have optical out which means I couldn't use it with a Audioengine D1 DAC and Integrated Amplifier :(

it does, but only with the adapter that is included in the box. (however that kills your headphone port.)
