if i attach my wireless mouse receiver directly under my desk where i use the mouse will it reduce the signal?
Using logitech g700 and additional cord to extend the wifi receiver... currently= cable spam on top of my desk.
Desk is painted metal, aluminum (i think). Was planning to use those sticky-back cable tiedowns to attach to underside of desk.
Any wireless experts know if the signal will travel as easily through the desk as thin air? or would it add some milliseconds lag that will get me killed when I'm gaming?

Likely the metal desk will block it quite well. Does it have any of those circular cut out for cable routing, or would you be willing to take a hole saw to it to make one? There are some nice little usb hubs for those which could be an optimal solution.

No only will the metal block it, but radio signals are like a donut, anything above or below gets a weak signal (unless the antenna is oriented at an odd angle).
Also, if you are a gamer, the closer the better. Signals in wires travel far faster than the wireless signals. You want as short of wireless run as you can with as little in the way as possible.

It's embarrassing to be gaming wirelessly to begin with...
Don't tell anyone if you're getting dominated, cuz they'll laugh at your mouse ;D
