Hey folks, I'm a mechanical keyboard noob. I've got a Cherry MY 1800 USB, which is actually a point of sale keyboard. Sort of a misinformed purchase, but I'm beginning to get a feel for it. Overall it's too stiff for my liking, so I just got the Plum 96. The Plum 96 works ok with USB and I like the Cherry Brown switches. However, I haven't gotten the wireless working yet. The receiver nub looks a bit cheap. Hopefully I just need a new set of batteries. If that doesn't work I guess I'll chalk it up to experience. Don't know how realistic it is to mail something back to China. Any idea if I could solder a replacement transceiver onto the PCB?

Welcome to Geekhack!
An interesting start to your collection ;)
Worst case if you can't fix the Plum, someone around here will probably buy it from you.

Hey All,
I got instructions from the aliexpress seller on how to configure the wireless and it's working fine now. I haven't seen instructions for this on gh, so I figured I'dd add them here to share with other plum mx 96 owners. Here are the instructions straight from man leung:
1.leave USB Composite Device near to your keyboard, and put the switch at bottom of keyboard, -0- to -_-, when you do this, ESC key will twinkling slowly
2.Press Fn+ F12, leave them after ESC key twinkling faster, now put USB Composite Device into your Laptop. Once ESC off, then you could use wireless funtion.
That's it! It worked for both Windows 7 and Arch Linux.
