So I'm thinking of making a wireless game controller with mx switches with a bluetooth numpad. Specifically, I'm going to make it into a nes controller. I'm making it as a gift for someone and I'm thinking of giving it to the person along with a nes emulator to play on the person's mac.
But since it has to be small, I'm going to chop it and I've seen people do it with fullsize keyboards but can you do it on a numpad and make it even smaller?

I'm not sure I follow, paint diagram may be of assistance.

This is basically my plan. didn't draw in the controller parts or the batteries but i recognize they should be there.

//Facepalm..
this will be a really ****ty controller that doesn't fit your hand... and you know it... ;D
-
Yeah i really do. But I feel the effort will mean more to the person I'm giving it to than its actual function :P rather than buying a gift card or something :P
Plus it will be fun to do :D

:D if this successfully gets you laid... WIN....

so IS it possible to cut a numpad?
-
You will need a new controller such as using a teensy with Hasu's firmware etc.
-
^Woah... that is actually sweet. I might just ditch the numpad and work with that.
-
A teensy is not the keypad itself.

Can't i hook up switches to it and attach it to my own made plate?

Yes. but there's going to be duct-tape involved..

Yes. You can.
