Title: [FS] HHKB Pro 2 (White)
Post by: jooks1184 on Tue, 19 February 2013, 13:24:39
Hello all,

I am putting up for sale a brand new HHKB Pro 2 (White). I just tried it out for a couple of minutes and then put it back into the box. There is nothing wrong with the keyboard. I just can't see myself using this effectively. I bought this keyboard for $270 + shipping. I will be asking for $230 (includes shipping). Payment will be through paypal as gift or goods + 3.5%. This sale is CONUS only. Thanks.

+1 ^

HHKB Pro 2 has about a one week learning curve.  You need to spend more time with it, to even know what it's all about.  The small form factor and the Function key access to the F-keys is off-putting.   You haven't really given it a chance yet.  You might find you really love it.  Depends on what you are using it for, but some programmers I know love that little guy.  On the other hand, if after a week, you don't love it, you should sell it.  One solid week of use will not change the resale value.  Just mention in your sales thread that you gave it a good try for one week, and it's not for you.  Somebody will buy it for $250 at that point, because it will still be basically brand new.  (Save the box and original packaging!!!)

Thank you guys for the advice. I've previously owned a HHKB Pro 2. After a few weeks, I just couldn't get used to the feel and decided to sell it. Honestly, the form factor was great. However, I just wasn't comfortable with the feel of the Topre switches. Now, at this point, you're probably asking why I decided to buy the HHKB again. Well, I thought it might be different after some time away from a Topre switch. However, I still didnt' feel comfortable with it. On the bright side, I'll be able to part with it for a good price and allow someone to truly enjoy the board. Lastly, I'm awaiting the release of the Filco Minila. I've decided that Cherry MX Browns are the switches for me. Thanks.

My HHKB died and I'd love to replace it.  Maybe we can work out a trade??  What type of keyboards are you interested in?

Hey iMav,

I'm actually looking for cash. As for keyboards, I'm waiting for the filco minila to come out so trades aren't really an option for me unless there is a 60% cherry mx keyboard that really takes my fancy.

That's fine.  I'd be willing to trade two NIB RACE keyboards (75% keyboard w/ cherry MX switches).  I could offer one MX-blue and one MX-red (or two MX-red's).  No big deal if you aren't interested.

Hey iMav,

That's a mighty fine offer but i'll have to decline. Thanks though.

Just to remind you, please wait 24 hours before bumping your own thread, if you have no new info to add. You might draw a warning from the mods otherwise.

It's $200 now, shipping's just $30 :P

If it weren't white, I'd have bought it so you wouldn't have to.
