Title: O-Ring Heaven
Post by: morpheus on Fri, 22 February 2013, 10:59:33
I recently got a bunch of O-rings from the Sampler Pack from WASD and I put them on the whole right side of my TKL Brown board. I can't tell you how unique it feels to have to half the keyboard feel different than the other half. Every time I hit the DEL, HOME, END, PG DOWN, PG UP, and arrow keys, I feel like I'm in a different dimension. Initially I was gonna throw these O-rings out, or store it away forever in a box a la Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I was able to put them to good use, and now I feel like a champ.

I'm confused. You like it on those keys but do not want them on all?

Yes, that is correct. I love having the regular typing feel on one side, and having a different sensation on the other. Perhaps it's just the novelty factor but it's an amazing feeling. I like the mild surprise I get when I mindlessly punch the keys on the right side.

May be right brain/left brain thing and/or the right hand is stronger/faster than the left or viceversa. Makes sense, gotta try it...
