Received them today from Originative. They look identical to Desko RGB dye sub keycaps. Sorry for cross posting. The general keyboard public needs to know! LOL!
Top: Desko
Bottom: Originative

Wait, I thought Sherry had doubleshot keys, plus GMK only deals in ABS. I'm so confused.
-
Oops, they are not from GMK, my bad.
-
Ah. Okey doke. :) I hope to see Sherry selling them soon...
-
Hrm, if the black foreground are dyesub, what does that make the white foreground..
-
These couldn't look any better. They're definitely worth the price. They'll practically last a lifetime.
-
Lol Litster! You just compared Desko RGBs to Desko RGBs.
Sherryton only sells double shots made by GMK. What you have is the price from his photo contest, which was as set of Desko RGBs
Edit: Sorry, I was wrong.

You think you know, but you really don't.

Didn't he say they were original Cherry PBTs?
can GMK even do dye sub?

According to Sherryton, the new ones are not from GMK.
-
Yes, you are right. The new ones don't have the exact same markings underneath, but otherwise matches.
I bet he has had them made by BSP Europe, the same one that made the original Deskos, IIRC.
Sorry about that.
-
All is well. Let's hope these will be available from Originative for everyone to purchase soon. It is pretty amazing to see these new dye sub and GMK doubleshots keycaps.
-
They look great. Shame I am too lazy to work out a method of payment to actually get anything from Originative :\

Thanks litster.

The ones on the far left and far right are from Originative?
-
The ones on the far left and far right are from Originative?
No, most likely the taller ones are Originative. The Desko ones are low profile. litster can tell me if I'm right.
I'm loving these RGB keys, but I wish we could get low profile ones too.

L4yercake is correct.
-
Wait...did I read that right? I'm pretty sure DESKO ones are taller
Edit: nvm I read it wrong lol.
-
Desko RGB have A profile Control and Alt which has the deeper slant and higher front edge, while the new ones show B profile just like Shift.
-
Will they have the Ctrl and Alt in 1.25 or just 1.75 size?
-
Neither, they are 1.5.
It is possible Originative will have them in 1.25 too.
-
So it seems the answer changes from one post to another. The taller of the two sets is: ?
-
no, answers are the same. It is confusing for some people though. The taller ones are from original Desko keyboards and they are 1.5x wide. the shorted ones are from Originative, and they are also 1.5x wide. There has not been any sighting of 1.25x RGB dye sub mods yet.
-
All Desko have A profile, I have never seen them in all B profile before the new production.
-
Shoot, I see now. I was looking at the names on quotes incorrectly. Thanks!
-
Oh you all suck. I thought I was done buying crap but these would look splendid if they match my imsto dye subs, which are now in my top three favorite keycaps (the other two being Wyse and SGI)
