Title: Cherry stuff liquidation time.
Post by: Parak on Wed, 27 February 2013, 00:36:15
Model Fs take up a lot of space, so it's time to dump most of my Cherry items. And Alps. I need to get off my lazy arse to finally try to sell some of it, and I'll try to edit this post as I compile pictures and sort through what seems to be a mountain of plastic bits scattered across multiple random keyboards. Prices do not include shipping from NYC, which will be calculated accurately, and added, based on your choice of carrier and whatnot. Local pickup would be nice. Sorry, no paypal (personal hate), but amazon payments or other negotiable means are fine.

First up: 1x Desko RGB dye sub full set from one with the nipple pointer. Keycaps have been given a cleaning already, but can use a once over still, as the keyboard was pretty heavily used. Most are shiny as result, a few have scratches on the sides, and smudges. Sold as is as result, etc, higher res pictures can be done as requested. $Sold.

Rest of the stuff to be cataloged in the next few days:

3x Round 3 (white on gray SP DS) full sets, with optional colemak/dvorak options. One set unused but a bit dusty, one unused, one lightly used (but will be washed anyway). Price TBD. Sold.
3x Siig Minitouch, white clicky alps, looked lightly used when I got them, were not used since. $35.
3x TG3 BL82, cherry blacks. Two are working fine but are mostly in a for-parts condition due to legend wear and a few internal posts breaking (pcb is still in place just fine). One is in otherwise good shape. $throw me a number.
2x G80-8200HUAUS, large cherry brown usb with doubleshot and clear top relegendable keycaps. In good shape overall, keys are relatively polished as expected from ABS.
1x G80-1950PQAXB, XY matrix browns with relegendable keycaps and doubleshot numpad keys including the supposedly only instance of a simple 1x sized DS 0 key (shrug). New, in original box, with all the accessories but some switches were opened by me to try out different springs for 2x POS key use. Will be changed back to original springs. TBD.
1x G80-5000HAMUS, in overall very good condition, keycaps as expected don't have much texture on them (have yet to see cherry DS ABS that do..), but the switches feel excellent. Serial number 128. Entertaining offers, but this might end up going for auction in any case.

Trades: Unlikely, as only stuff that interests me currently is ancient IBM, and I already have a sizable amount of Fs and the stuff that came before them. But I'm open to atypical surprises.

Questions via PM are supported and encouraged.

If one of the Colemak sets turns out to be fairly reasonable I might take one.

Desko 'auction' on temporary hold due to external interest.

Thanks for all the PMs, and sorry if I haven't responded to some yet - a bit of work overload. The R3 sets still need to be cataloged (sorry for the delays, I'm a bad when it comes to selling), as it seems that I've had more to them than I thought. For the immediate now, I've decided to do away with the whole auction silliness for the desko set, and will just let it go for $70 (plus shipping).

What color, beige or black? What is your asking price? Could you post pictures? If you can't tell, I'm interested in this item. :)

They are sort of a dark gray. Pix laterish as I've been dealing mostly with keycaps, and these boards are bare still, but you can see http://www.kbdmania.net/xe/files/attach/images/30354/885/524/1.jpg for reference. The relegendable and win/menu keys are not DS, probably lasered. USB with 2KRO. Price is still TBD based on whether I can locate 100% of the keycaps for them or not :D

Excellent, thanks. Here's hoping you can get one with all the keys on it, it would make or a nice office board. I have no idea what I'd program all the keys for, but no doubt there's plenty of uses.

So all Round 3 set is sold out? How come I received no reply from you since I sent you a PM nearly a week ago?

I would be interested in the 12 NIB DS numpad keys from your G80-1950PQAXB. Would you be willing to sell them separately? I'll look into amazon payments because of your paypal hate.

Do you have pictures of the TG3?

Right then, managed to dig up all the keys for the 8200 boards - turns out one set is definitely less shinyish than the other (which is not exactly smooth either). Pictures for them and the TG3s tomorrow for those that I promised them to. For now and something entirely different, I'm also selling a set of these:

New, R3, etc, $tentatively sold. Now, why it's different - it's a three way trade. You pay me, I will ship some stuff to SmallFry (http://geekhack.org/index.php?action=profile;u=11895), and he'll be the one to actually ship these caps to you.

i am interested in the entire g80-1950, can you give me a price?

I'm also interested in the G80-8200 if it has clears (I like ergo clears, so I want to try clears). I'm actually okay just buying the bare Kb if you want to sell the keycaps to someone else. Does it have iso enter?

I don't have amazon payments yet, but I'll happily make an account due to not liking paypal that much either.

dorkvader - Do you want the entirety of the NIB G80-1950PQAXB? Or would you let me just buy the 12 NIB DS numpad keys from it?

I have 8113's with clears if you're interested as he says the 8200's are "cherry brown usb with doubleshot and clear top relegendable keycaps". The 8113's have ISO Enter, and 1 of the 4 already has no keycaps. http://i.imgur.com/VjURy.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/VjURy.jpg)

Right, so some pictures for the interested parties:

G80-8200 are ansi browns as I've mentioned. Also something to mention is that they are software programmable (ps2 was partially hardware) on the irregular keys only, mostly the relegendable ones - the main keys (a-z, etc) are not reprogrammable.

On the G80-1950 front, I unfortunately damaged one of the 6 or so switches that I put clear springs in while I was reassembling it back with a brown stem/spring. Not sure how I managed that particular feat as it should be physically impossible, but the end result is that I'll have to desolder it and solder on one of the all too many spare cherry bottoms that I have. So given that and the light sprinkling of dust that it got while lying around being lonely, I'll have to reconsider the pricing a little. Probably later tonight :p

Are all the round 3 sets sold or just one of them? I am a little confused. I really really want a set for a poker.

I'm interested in the un-repaired g80-1950 if you send some bottoms with it (I don't have that many)

Wow, the 8200 is ANSI! I'm still interested but I'm sure it'll be more expensive than what I want to pay for it. I'm still interested in just the keyboard guts if someone else wants the keycaps.
