I have owned 3 mechanicals now, my newest being a Filco TKL with MX Blues and Yellow Keycaps (awesome) but I think I am ready to move up to Topre switches. I was hoping one of you could convince me whether to go for Realforce or Happy Hacking, and which version is the best for gaming/typing. Loudness does not matter. Thanks :D (If any of you are selling you should PM me :D)

I have never used Topre before but I would have to say that I would go with HHKB simply based on design. I am a fan of the minimalist design of keyboards.
Other than that I have no real objective comments to add.

I went with a Realforce 87U 45g board last week. I decided on that over the HHK mainly because I really need the arrow keys for coding. If you don't use the arrow keys, I would go with the HHK if you prefer the smaller form factor. That being said, this Realforce is the best thing I've ever typed on.

Yeah, basically what other people have said. It depends what layout you want, if you like the HHKB layout go that one, if you would prefer a more standard layout go the realforce.
Both are awesome.

If you're on a Mac or *nix, and/or you're fine with learning a 2nd layer for things like arrows and ins/del/home/end/pgup/pgdn/etc... then go with HHKB. I personally think it's a better pure typing experience than the RealForce boards.
If however you can't give up the standard 87-key layout, the RF is the way to go. As far as switch weight, see sig for preference.

If you go with a Realforce and don't like the switch weight you choose, you can always sell it for a very small loss in the classifieds section and get a different one. I came from loving MX Blues and the 45g Topre has been perfect.

Are there any topre boards other than the HHKB and the realforce? I would actually buy one but I hate the appearance of the realforces and I need arrow keys.. If only there was a Filco TKL with topres..

HHKB.

dark tkl realforces look very nice. and the plastic texture is very appealing, velvet-like.

HHKB.
I would very much like to try out a RF 87U for gaming though...
