Title: FS/FT: 2x Dell U2312HM 23" IPS monitors - $160
Post by: ChaoticKinesis on Thu, 07 March 2013, 12:34:48: I have 3 2 Dell U2312HM monitors. These are 23" IPS displays with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height-adjustable stands. They are a year old, in excellent condition, with no dead pixels.

Price is $160 each before shipping. I will cover up to $10 of the shipping cost so actual cost to you should be somewhere in the range of $165-175. Local NY pickup is also available. CONUS only.

With a bit of extra careful packaging tactics, i.e. a lot of bubble wrap, packing peanuts, foam wedges, air cushions, sturdy cardboard, and a "fragile" sticker, it shouldn't be a problem. You just have to make sure to insure the package so that in the event that the monitor is somehow damaged, the shipping carrier will cover the cost (so as long as the seller properly packaged the item).

Even better, if someone could buy two or there of these, ship the panels in one box, and the stands in another. FedEx doesn't get as much credit as they should in taking care of packages. You only seem to hear about the one poor driver who tosses something over a fence as opposed to the other 9 million packages that are shipped each day with little issue.

But glws, if I used my monitor for more than forum browsing, I'd be all over this.

It seems like you posted just as I updated to offer shipping. My intention was to ship them in individual boxes, since I would imagine that greater weight and size would increase the likelihood of them being dropped. Obviously lots of bubble wrap and a neatly wrapped and disassembled stand on the side.

Thanks for the suggestion about the cardboard, I'll definitely do that. Not sure about multiples in one box though.

QFT. I used to ship out a lot of flat screen televisions and would always cut up some spare cardboard boxes to provide extra padding-protection for the screen panel and to wrap around the entire TV itself.
