Amazing!!!

Modular switches are dam cool. It would save the pain of desoldering, although installing all those extra daughterboards for every switch will also be tedious. It'll also add 1/16" extra thickness to the keyboard.
One thing I don't get is how you'll be able to pull off some stiff caps without yanking out the switches too.

Damn, that is pretty cool! Nice and thick too :D

only concept is modular switches

WOW, this looks sick. Where do I sign up for this keyboard :D
-
Indeed it looks awesome!
-
This is pretty wild.

I like the idea of modular switches, but I wonder about how well it would really work with regards to key stability and the switches not coming unplugged except when you want them to. It'd be a pain in the ass if the switches can come unplugged during energetic use (gaming/fast typing); if the switch winds up at an angle, simply pushing down on it as in regular use would probably not work or might even destroy the interface pins.
-
Judging from the video the switches snap into the plate so they won't come off as easy. Cool concept!
-
this board is like... the ultimate enthusiast board if the layout was programmable and even better if you allows different plates splitting the right shift and/or backspace :D (WFD125 Phantom style)
-
Great idea in theory, not sure about practice tho...
We'll see :D
-
I think this is a good starter keyboard if you want to try all the switches.
But once you have tried them all, it gets less useful.
I mean, how often do you swap switches on your plate mounted keybaord?

still working on layouts
-
Awesome work. Bump!
CHHer帮顶了~

Very cool, can you please post photos of the switches' underside ? I'd like to see how you modified them.

Colour me impressed.

As far as I know, DeeLonG has no plan of putting this board to mass production. Seems to me that he only wants to share this board with a few friends.
-
wow, this is sick! I don't feel the need of the functions row but very nice open case design.
-
Great concept. Thinking different lead to cool tech.

I'm impressed. Great idea and really nice implementation.
