Title: Cherry G230 Low Profile Keyboard
Post by: joules on Mon, 11 March 2013, 18:41:20
Hi,

I bought this keyboard around 2008 for $29.00 AUD which was a lot more than the $10.00 range.
I think its also known as the "Evolution Stream" - Although I don't recall that been printed on the box. :)
Its rather weighty thanks to the steel plate backing.
The keys are supported by rubber dome scissor switches.
Its well built and has lasted.
I really liked this keyboard at the time even though I'm not much of a laptop fan.
I brought it out of storage with a clean up to give it a run.

lol I think before I switched to mechanical keyboard I was using Razer Arctosa, after that I used Logitech Illuminated briefly and I must say I really liked it too.  Sometimes I still think that mechanicals "feels" better but scissor switch is still "faster".

I bought a Cherry G84-4100 which is a low profile mechanical.  Hopefully it will arrive soon then I can test it out  :P
