It can't be BS, because it is too low profile. Scissor or reg. dome?

Yep, the M4-1 is rubber dome. There's a similar version in black with a different FRU made by IBM - that one is literally a ThinkPad keyboard with a bottom housing.

This is NOT the one I refer to. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-RT3200-Space-Saver-II-Keyboard-Trackpoint-Mouse-Combo-37L0888-PS-2-PS2-/300872026013?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item460d5ec79d) This is an RT3200, also rubber dome.
I can't find any of the old model ones I refer to, but they basically look identical to the Lenovo 55Y9003.
