I have a chocolate bro bot for trade. Looking more specifically now for a Octopink MX CC.
Thanks

I can help you with that. There's one on ebay right now, there's a link in the great finds section. Keep your bro cap and get two of the CCs you want.
-
I saw that but...itll prlly go higher than I feel like paying. What would you guess it will hit?
-
/shrug The price it's at now up to $200.
Hopefully closer to the low end, it seems like most everyone that wants a CC has one and prices are starting to normalize

cmon guys pink is "gay" anyway right? just off load that key...get a manly brown one in return!

Trading pink for brown kind of sounds like you'd be going gay....I'm just sayin :p

I wouldn't value brobots the same as CC's.
-
Ill trade you my MX octopink if you have a topre octopink. It's been sitting inside a box for the past 6-8 months :D

please elaborate

He is of the opinion that BroBots do not hold the same value as ClickClacks. Note that this is his opinion, and everyone's varies.

Brobots look like they are made from off the shelf polyurethane resin and pigment, which is then poured into a silicone mold of a mass produced toy, they are not as consistent as CC's. Every single CC will look identical to the next i.e. all single colors look the same, all dual colors look the same, and all tri colors look the same in terms of shape, mold, and color placement. They mixture used to create CC's is of higher quality as there are never hints of bubbles on the underside, or dual colored CC's bleeding from the eyes.
Experience and consistency are also other factors that seems to be forgotten, as Brobots has only been out for not even a year and the creator has only recently purchased the machinery; whereas CC has been making these skulls for a good 3-4 years, if not more. CC's have been perfected over time from countless batches, and quality products have been consistently created. CC has been in the keycap creation business since before most of the market even knew about the possibilities associated with mechanical keyboards.
I also don't think that the creator of the Bro bots would say that the material he uses is neither better nor on par with what is used to make CC's. Bottom line is I would not believe a rookie would be able to produce the same quality product as someone who has been doing this for much longer. 3-4 years from now maybe I will consider it, but as of now it would be a little ignorant to value the two products the same.

Cool story, you should bring this up in "key caps discussion" instead of ****ting on a WTT thread. Not everyone who trades these items care about the intricacies of how they are manufactured. Bro Bots and CC's pretty much have the same retail value at the time of original purchase as far as I know. Beyond that, people will trade for what they like or what they themselves perceive as "valuable". Go away!

I dont like your elaboration.

Now that's not quite fair. You did ask him to elaborate, and he did explain where he was coming from. He didn't even really say anything negatively.
-
Ya I guess. Whatever, this thread is trashed now anyway. /closed

wow you're so touchy
-
Pretty funny how you tried to give me some constructive criticism on the pricing in my thread but you can't take any yourself
