Is this a promotion or here to stay. I've heard there were gonna be price cuts on filcos and maybe this is it. Also, how do filcos compare to duckys?

Also on the Canadian site there is Filco 104 key cherry black ninjas for 139.99

I'm not sure Filco can win on this.  If they are revamping their prices it either validates that they were overpriced all along or they've asked Costar to cut corners to get the price down.

Definitely, i bought a Filco for a friend abroad and he changed his mind, tried to sell it here (new in box) nobody was interested which makes sense.
The only way i'll buy another Filco in that price range would be if they came with PBT caps or something like that which would justify the additional $40.

The #1 reason to get a filco (in my book) is the amount of customizations that can be done. You can get a controller. Almost every aftermarket case will work. Secondary to this is the dual-layer PCB, which is more sturdy.
