Can't say I'm impressed; seems like they took all their current gaming mice and stuck a bunch of bits on them to drive up the price. I'd have been more impressed if they actually had a new mouse to spearhead the lineup as opposed to old mice with bits glued to them.

Yes, I gathered from the first link that they weren't just cosmetic changes, but my issue is that they're all boring changes. I have no doubt that these will be solid mice and I don't think I'll have any issue recommending them to anyone, but as a collector there's just nothing there to spark my interest.

Underwhelmed. I don't see a g9x replacement in there for me. :(
-
Yeah I'm waiting for G900 also. And to be honest they haven't had any real "new" product in quite a while, the newest is G600 but prior to that they've been milking G500 and G700 for way way too long.
As much as people bash Razer but at least I feel like they constantly pump out new and interesting products all the time.

Interesting, yes, expensive also.
Wonder if the G19s is mechanical

Yea. Was looking forward to the G9x replacement as well. Too bad.
Also, I would consider checking out the G700s, if they changed its grip a little (the way the original G700 was shaped on the right side where the pinky sits made it difficult to pick up), but it looks like they kept the same shape. Oh well.
What was the point of the update, again? Sorry, I'm not trying to disrespect the OP, and I saw the video on the Logitech blog site about the new updates to the mice. But it seems it's mostly about the texture on the mice, and updated sensors. Yet, we still don't know in what ways specifically, or how they updated the texture and sensors. I guess we'll find out when they get actually released.
And, as Hyde says, I just wish they'd would update their mice in significant ways, and/or bring up brand new products. Their G400/G500/G100 are several generations old by now.

Actually, Razer hasn't done much new and exciting since 09, they've only really made two new mice since then; the Taipan(the krait goes under here since it's just a smaller, cheaper Taipan and is not available outside Asia) and the Ouroboros, which is actually fairly interesting. They've also made a Tron mouse and a SC2 mouse, but those are mostly just overpriced licensed gear, so I don't really count those either.

No more mechanical keyboards yet... :(
I'm only interested in a new mouse, and a G700 (with the cable...yuck, wireless) is the one that looks best.

Looks like they added a little paint and took prices back to the original MSRP.
I'm starting to wonder if mice have reached critical mass or if Logitech simply out of ideas? Considering the new designs from other companies, I'm thinking Logitech is just milking their products for cash.
I'm with you guys, I want my G900. I can certainly think of some improvements, I don't see why they can't. Unfortunately I would say this means no G900 for several more months at least.

Yeah, that's the biggest disappointment here. I love my G9x and would really like to see it improved further, but that's probably going to take some time now that they're too busy selling us the MX518 again.

I'm really waiting for a new claw mouse. Let's see which of the following will happen first:
Logitech releases G900.
CM Storm releases Spawn/Xornet version 2.
Razer brings Krait 2013 to North America.
SteelSeries puts Sensei's sensor/features on Kana.

hmm do you need something small and wide or would small do?
I don't claw grip really but have you ever thought of RAT 3 (new version) or Genius Maurus? Although so far nothing has been as well built as the CM Storm spawn still it was too wide for me =(
-
The Taipan too big for you or something? I love mine.
-
I actually just got a Sensei MLG Edition, and I think it's perfect for claw gripping. It's actually not that big; it's just a tiny tad bigger than the Microsoft WMO, but it's perfect for me.
Btw, I've tried a bunch of different claw mice, like the G9x, Deathadder, and the Taipan. The Sensei is definitely the most comfortable for me, in terms of ergonomics.

Mostly small, since my hand isn't that big and I don't mind it being wide. I haven't try RAT3 yet but I'm not sure if I'll like having gap everywhere on the mouse, since I didn't like that aspect on the Corsair M60. As for Genius Maurus I don't feel too confident buying such a new brand, that and I don't like mouse that flare out from the bottom since I pick up my mouse quite a lot.
Haha sorry I'm kinda picky when it comes to what type of mouse I want :P

Yeah while everything is perfect except length. It's a bit too long :(
Like for left and right click it's kinda acceptable. But my index finger touch the BOTTOM of the scroll wheel while my hand naturally rest on the mouse. However the weird party is the thumb button is in perfect location. If only they'll make a shorter Taipan.
-
heh I'd say a company dating back to 1983 is hardly new :p but in terms of modern gaming peripherals yes they are new. The spawn had the same sensor as the maurus and rat 3 so I don't know if the flare bothered you? Or are you talking about the led lights which can be disabled :p? I am also very picky I tried (RAT3, copperhead, G400, deathadder, Lachesis, Abyssus, cm storm spawn). Of those I ended up using mostly the RAT 3 and then buying an abyssus again as the old RAT 3 sensor was not great but not as bad as the copperhead. I then took a chance on the maurus and while it's not perfect I am using it over the abyssus (it was also cheaper funnily). Not as solid as the cm storm but doesn't feel that bad scroll wheel looks like it should be awful but it's actually nice just nothing is as nice as the cm storm spawn's buttons and scroll wheel).

oh I meant the bottom of the mouse fans out like this shape / \ but I prefer it gets narrow near the bottom like \ / so it's easier for me to pick up the mouse lol.
While I don't personally own the spawn but I do own the xornet. Have to say the button and scroll wheel is amazing on that mouse. The shape is awesome too I think the only drawback is that I wish it had a laser sensor :(
