Title: WTB HHKB Layout ANSI Aluminum Case
Post by: Dubsgalore on Thu, 21 March 2013, 10:56:53
not sure if they exist, but for the GH60 Groupbuy i think i am going to go with the hhkb ansi layout. Is there a case that exists where i can get that layout without having those extra unused spaces on the left and right side, and that would fit a HHKB Ansi layout?

KMAC Happy is the only one with a case like you describe. There are some in the works, but a long way off.

that's unfortunate i guess. arnt kmac's $400+? why would the hhkb ansi layout even be an option for the gh60 if they are no cases available?  :(

with my gh60 i want to order the hhkb ansi layout with my gh60. i want to know if there is a case (or aluminum case) that will fit it correctly (without having unused plate spaces on the left and right of the bottom row. sorry i was confusing

4) modular top cover - The top cover has 3 different designs, allows you to choose a winkeyless cover, HHKB style, or standard full keys

i plan on using the poker layout but changing the key mappings to match a HHKB. for instance, **** the caps lock. control all the way.  and i like how HHKB utilizes the function layer.

the reason i hesitate to make a HHKB GH60 is I constantly use the Win Key and the plates/cases will probably be in less demand. Win key is just useful, and i miss it on my IBM Model M.

to each their own.

Your Control key will be next to your "A" key. Caps lock on Fn+Tab. You can have Win keys. There are 4 keys on the bottom row you can program. I personally don't need 2 Alt's or Ctrl's. And I would make the first 1x key on the bottom row (far left) the Win key.

Hey Dubsgalore, could you please lock this :)

Or a mod could move it to off-topic or some such... :D

im pretty sure the hhkb default on actual hhkb's on the bottom row go 'alt, winkey, space, winkey, alt' i am pretty sure. fn is next to the right shift. i am pretty sure the hhkb has winkeys

and yea..getting this moved to off topic would be helpful. i think locking the thread wouldnt be a great idea
