I have my new HHKB dip switched so that the Del key is the Backspace. I love it. My other primary board is a RF 87U. I would like to swap the Backslash and Backspace keys on it.
I have and use AutoHotkey as well as MSFT Keyboard Layout Creator. And I could very easily accomplish the swap there...if I were using a single keyboard. But I keep both my RF and HHKB hooked up. So, a change in the OS will affect both keyboards and I only want to change the RF.
My primary OS is Win7, and as far as I know, there is no way to target only one keyboard with a key swap. It I'm wrong, please edumacate me. If a software key swap isn't possible, can the keyboard itself be modified?

Windows can actually get the model name of the keyboard so in theory you could target only one keyboard, but I don't know any program that takes advantage of it.

You can cut and patch Topre capacitive PCB.
