Greetings everyone!
I recently purchased a Happy Hacking Keyboard Pro 2, and I am not sure if mine is defective or not. I'm hoping someone can help me...
On many of the alpha keys: if I press down firmly, hold the key down firmly, and then release it slowly, there is an audible click a little less than midway through the upstroke. This click occurs before the switch is fully depressed and hits the upper limit of the assembly.
Is this a normal sound? Can someone test theirs?
Other than this, I am very thrilled with the keyboard. Fine forum here

Sounds normal considering it uses Topre switches, I could be wrong though.

Hmm...not all of them seem to do it, and some seem to do it a little more than others..
I tried to take a video, but the sound didn't really come out too well.
Thank you Skull_Angel for your reply

You are probably just hearing the sound of the spring ... I tried to replicate the firm press and slow key release and the only sound I could identify was the spring. Then again the sound I hear is very low and I had to pretty much place my head near the keyboard to hear it.

On new Topre switches the springs tend to be a bit stiffer and stick a bit more.
Once they're broken in it should reduce considerably. My HHKB still does it (I don't use it nearly enough as I'd like).

Was browsing Reddit, and someone else posted a video of exactly the noise. Adding it here:
