I have a '93 model M, the version where the cord was detachable. Alas, I have no cord for it. OTHER than clickykeyboards, where can I get a cord at a reasonable price, besides there and eBay?

Unicomp has what you're looking for:

They're absolutely reliable and offer first-rate service. Highly recommended.

Searching Google for IBM SDL PS/2 shoud return some results, incuding IBM part numbers that can be used for further searches. (Also the clickykeyboards.com site lists part numbers.)
One result that came up was http://www.ezsystems.com/newcart/search.php?g=1393118&m=IBM. They claim to have 10 refurbished in stock for US$9.45 each (compared to about $13 for a new shorter cable from clickykeyboards.com). But their minimum order value is US$100.
Unicomp's online store lists the 1395110 cable for US$7.25 at http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net/cabdetmin.html. Can anyone find one cheaper than that?

It's more expensive at $18, but clickyKeyboards has the extra long SDL <-> PS/2 cable in stock. This longer cable is about 9' in length, it's really nice if you have your PC on the floor under your desk. I have the long cable on my primary work M and I've been thinking I might order another one to replace the shorter version of the cable on my home M.
I think the longer cables are sort of rare, seems like it's about 15-1 for Model M listings on E-Bay with the short cables.
