Title: Matias Tactile Pro 2: redux
Post by: ashort on Tue, 08 April 2008, 06:07:19
How many people here use a TP2?  Mine sometimes types the wrong characters.  Seems to happen when I hold the shift key down.  I don't know, but it's already on the edge with me, and if it is typing the wrong stuff on top of that...time for something new.  Unfortunately there isn't a lot better feel out there where Mac is concerned.

(For those who haven't been watching...I'm addicted to my special apple keys that do things like eject cd and volume up and down.)

I wonder if this program would be good for remapping keys on a mac?

The HHKB Pro 2 is a GREAT Mac keyboard IMHO.

I second iMav's comment, and I would like to add that the Macally MK96 has white Alps switches, the Mac buttons you seek and has an ADB connector for your old school needs.

You should loan it to me for a month so I could see how great it is.

In all seriousness, I DO have an old HHKB Lite I could loan you to see if you like the layout.  It has membrane switches, but loaning you my HHKB Pro2 would be useless as it is blank keytop and you can't touch type.

:)

Dude, I could put sticky labels on them.  Come on man, think outside of your little hhkb2 box!
