Title: Dark blue thick pbt?
Post by: Moosecraft on Thu, 04 April 2013, 04:14:41
I recently saw someone post his LZ-xx keyboard on reddit/r/mechanicalkeyboards. It was sky blue and had dark blue keycaps. He said they were from IMSTO and were thick pbt. Are these still available in some way?

Could you give me the exact link to that post please? I'm just curious.

Are you talking about Sifo's? Because those weren't dark blue, but rather the regular blue that imsto sells.

Yeah, I think the color of the board makes them seem darker than they are.

How would I go getting these caps?

The Hangul legends are quite nice to look at. You've seen mine, Jocelyn?

Nice! I had no idea you had those and have a feeling I'll be buying that set in the near future as well.

Edit - Did you buy those from MMB?

See yours look to be so much of a lighter blue, are you sure they are the same?

They're the same. My photo was taken outside in the sunlight, while his was probably taken indoors without a flash.
I've actually seen photos from people where they almost look white lol. Here's another photo of mine indoors and with a flash.

So in normal indoor light they are light blue?

Oh... hi. Yes they're just regular blue imstos. It's very hard to actually tell what shade of blue they are because of how drastically lighting changes them. Here's another pic of them taken by not me

Lighter sure, but they are much prettier and bluer than in esoomenona's photo imo. I'll see if I can get an accurate photo.

Also no need for hangul legends, typing hangul has to be one of the easiest things ever.

So I took a few photos without a flash, but they looked way too light. I'll try an indoor photo again tomorrow when the sun is out. Anyway, this is the closest I could get and it's pretty close imo. I did an angle offset with the flash a little bit.
Keep in mind that photos will probably look different on your monitor than mine. FWIW, I was also worried they would be too light, but I'm very happy with them. They're a very pretty blue that's actually kinda hard to explain.

Agreed, but it's still nice to have as a reference even if the consonants are on the left and the vowels are on the right :)
