i have been looking for a set of these as well. it seems the only way i have found to get some is to buy an entire Dolch PAC Terminal.  yikes of a price for used caps.

Many times you can get sellers of Dolch to send only the keyboard then you don't get raped on shipping at least. It's a nice G80-1813HFX so if you manage to get the keyboard only for under $120 it is not too terrible.

and if you don't want the G80-1813HFX keyboard, you can easily sell that with or without the switches installed. Going rate for switchless 1813HFX is $20-25 shipped and WITH the switches $40-45 shipped. so if you look at it this way, you could end up with just the keycaps you wanted for about 80 bucks then...

yes...but it uses some kind of RJ-45 connection to the terminal so it isnt usable on a standard machine.
the only thing great about these antiques is the caps.

its just normal ps2 but with the dumb connector, so you can solder in any other ps2 cable you have to replace the RJ-11 connector.

You can put the dolch pcb into a cherry case and solder on ps/2 cable. Which is what I'm doing right now. I am just waiting on the cable.

Or you can leave it in the Dolch case, which is actually nice to look at, IMO.

Yup. I'm sort of looking for one. Gotta get on the 1800 bandwagon.

I've tried to buy one or two from around here, but haven't had luck. It's not an active search for me, but one day, I hope to own one.

I've seen them pop up on Taobao once in a while, you could look into that option, using Qtan's Taobao buying services.  I'm looking for one as well, hoping to find one locally in the computer surplus stores.

Do let me know if you see any that have a Scitex brand on them, I'll buy them off you.   :))

finding another Scitex, especially in the US would be a jack pot find! You have as good of a chance of finding one of the green 1800's as both only have like 3-4 of them known to exist in the keyboard collecting world

If one of the other guys ever comes back from the dead, i'd expect his beige scitex and many other Cherry goodies to end up for sale.

Are original Dolch keycaps off of a Dolch PAC computer keyboard doubleshot?
Not all. Dolch PAC-60, 61, 62, 63, 64 and some PAC-65 have a Cherry keyboard with Cherry doubleshot key caps.
Some PAC 65 have a scissor switch keyboard instead. There are earlier models with Cherry MX blue switches, different layout and pad-printed keys (in the same colour scheme) and there are newer models where all keyboards have scissor switches.

The Cherry switches in the good keyboards are vintage Cherry MX Blue, which some find superior to modern blues. So don't throw them away!

You can put the dolch pcb into a cherry case and solder on ps/2 cable.
You should not have to solder on a PS/2 cable. There is always a connector, either mini-din on the outside or 4P4C on the inside and the protocol is always PS/2. That means that you need only make a new cable.

Personally I like the Dolch case more, because it is flatter and less creaky, but not everyone likes the styling of the case...

You can read more about the Dolch on the Deskthority Wiki (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Dolch#Dolch).

Sure you don't have to solder the cable, but I had a stock Cherry PS/2 cable and felt it was more straight forward than faffing about with crimping a 4p4c connector.
