Title: Could the time change the "clicky" sound of a switch ?
Post by: Retrete on Sat, 06 April 2013, 12:50:58
Hi! Few days ago I bought a 2nd hand (with heavy marks of use) acer 6312-ta ,like this one but with the old acer logo ;

I also have a benq 6312-ta ,exactly like the one of the top
Comparing them head to head I noticed a different "clicky" sound , acer one is softer and less noisy than the benq .
The acer kb mounts their own keyswitches , and the benq looks exactly the same but with no acer logo on them .
The benq switch ;

I've read that the benq use Alps black , that's true ? so , alps black=acer switch?
I will upload a video in a few hours , "la duda me corroe"  ;D

The Alps (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Alps_SKCL/SKCM_Series) Black is a different switch than the Acer switch (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Acer_switch). The Acer is clicky while the Alps with black slider is not.
The acer switches can feel a bit different depending on how hard and fast you type on them.

Yep, but only the spacebar, I have to fix it
