Title: Mechanical Numpad as Gamepad
Post by: hashish on Mon, 08 April 2013, 16:38:41
So I have a spare mechanical numpad that I don't use very much. I would like to re-purpose it as a game pad ala the g13 or the orbweaver. I have a g13 and I like it but I don't love it. I would like to see how a mechanical keypad would fare compared to my g13. Does anybody have any advice on how to remap keys on a second HID?

(I wish logitech would update the g13 with mechanical switches)

argh, no matter what i press on my usb keypad directly connected to my computer it triggers my KVM switch. How weird is that. If it work, I was going to mod a usb thumb joystick (from a gamepad) for a mechanical logitech g13 ish thing

If it was a Cherry 3700 old school model, you could put it into Mode 4 and the entire thing becomes hard programmable. If it's not, AHK should do the trick, or just change bindings in game to the numpad keys?
