just curious, is the door hollow core or solid core?

It is solid core.  However, a few firm kicks will likely get you in.  There was no lock previously so I needed something to keep the kids and curious guests out when I am not around (it's my home office, with company resources inside)..  A simple keyed door knob would've been fine, but the keypad is for my convenience.
