Do those even exist?
-
I know some people can make them. I dont have the tools to make a proper one.
-
If someone steps forward to make this I will additionally help fund the effort with a purchase.
-
I'm able to make one, but just don't have the time to make some. It takes me like 20 minutes lol
-
What is a good wire bender to purchase, and what gauge wire? I've been learning to DIY many things lately so I'm not opposed to trying it myself.
-
The dubro wire bender. I've spent a lot of time looking for a proper one, but all the other ones don't have a good enough radius or needs additional vices to hold them. You'll have to buy something to clip it also, I doubt you'll be able to clip with just pliers. From the top of my head, the size is 0.048" carbon steel or music wire. They usually only come in packs, but I guarantee you'll need need to bend at least a few to get 1 good one. All this is roughly a ~$40 investment before you bend your first one.
I was planning to write up a guide on this but haven't had time.

not really a guide but shows you what you would have to do.

Eh... I might have one from a broken Chicony somewhere if I can find it.
-
Thanks for the info WFD,
That would be awesome if you did.
I might have to go with plate mount cherry stabs. Updating topic
-
If you're changing it to Cherry 7x spacebar, then I can send a set of those. I have a few leftovers made from the Phantom GB.
-
Send me a PM when u can WFD, ill buy a couple.
is it possible to install a plate mount cherry stab without having to desolder the entire board?(i dont mind having to desolder the spacebar switch) I was planning on soldering the switches to my phantom tonight since i dont have anything else better to do.
Thanks!

Will I be receiving a second straightened 6.25x spacebar wire WFD?
-
You don't have to straighten anything if you make them yourself. There are only 2 bends of 90 degrees. It's not difficult like a Costar wire. :)

But I want one of you two to do it lol. I added it in my notes and will pay extra for the bending :)

I followed this guide to mod my pcb cherry stabilizers and I really like them. I will probably use it from here on out. I don't like costar on my qfr.

I found it. It is really crappy like a paperclip and slightly deformed... but I think it could still be ok.
