Title: Question about ISO and ANSI layouts.
Post by: naokira on Fri, 26 April 2013, 13:27:35
So i wanted to have a big ass enter key and dont want to have a short left shift. Is that possible?
I mean, what do I have to change out, is it the plate?

If your talking about the phantom or a GH60 yes otherwise your best bet is probably a steelseries 7G

Big-ass enter != ISO enter

Bigass = terrible Asian ANSI variant. Lots of Korean models with this, there was an entire thread here about various models with bigass enter not too long ago but I am too lazy to go and find it.

Otherwise if you mean ISO enter and 2.25 right shift there are several Cherry POS G80 models with this like 8113, 8200.

If only i could get that on my qfr or a poker! I should've sent a layout like that when the gh60 guys are calling for it.
I dont like the enter key of ss7g cause I don't have room anymore for the \ key, and I use it quite a lot so i definitely like the iso enter but I can't live on a short left shift.

Dilemmas dilemmas.  :-[

If you got GH60, it is totally possible as PCB has support for it. Just because it is not shown as a suggested layout does not mean you could not have it this way.

Universal plate I think would allow it. I don't roll with plate so might want to check that with WFD or one of the other guys.
