Title: my new old KB: ALR RT-101+
Post by: jemkeys on Mon, 02 June 2008, 20:41:35
I don't know much about this, but I got it at a pawn shop today for $1.

I got it because I could tell the switches were clicky.  The whole thing was FILTHY, though.  I spent a couple hours soaking everything in detergent (except the switches and electrical parts, of course ;)).

The Spacebar switch was broken, so i replaced it with the Pause/Break switch.  I figure I'll use the Spacebar more than the Pause/Break key.

So here's the pics:

So can anyone tell me more about the switches or the keyboard?  Thanks!

Good find for a dollar.  The wide keys look quite bizarre.  No idea what the switches are but they look like space invaders.

It feels nice, but I can't use it... it's an AT connector, lol.

I thought NMB only made fans.  I guess they make all things electrical.  I think it's a Japanese company.

Assuming you're not kidding (I suck at registering things like that, sorry)You can look for an AT to PS/2 adapter; worked for mine. Even put a USB adapter over it.

Oh, the switches say "HI-TEK" on them.  It was hard to see before cause its written in black on black plastic.
