Title: WTT Filco TKL w/Blues
Post by: Chase5delta on Tue, 30 April 2013, 09:13:08
Looking to trade my Filco TKL with blue switches for something new, blues are just too loud and have been disturbing my sister while she's asleep and I'm up gaming. It doesn't come with keycaps and the case has been painted white. I can add pictures if you'd like. It's in perfect condition, got it for Christmas. Looking for a TKL keyboard with brown switches, but would also accept anything besides blacks or reds.

UPDATE: Would also be willing to trade for a higher end set of keycaps. Ragnarok, Dolch, Graphite, etc...

I'm on my phone right now and can only see the before picture but hopefully this link works. Remember it does not come with keycaps.

oh hehe didn't see that! :)  As someone who likes blues and other tactile switches, I have to say that I actually don't mind reds, I really like em a lot, nice and quiet too (esp w/ orings ) but it is all personal preference, so if you change your mind let me know :)

I'm currently using a Keycool 84 with reds, the filco is in retirement because I like red switches much more.

Ugh. I have a Filco TKL brown and I really miss blues but I'm in the UK so it'd cost a lot to ship. Good luck on the search though.

Then I would recommend trying a sampler kit before making such an investment in browns :/ I unfortunately did not and hated them, they just feel sloppy, and mushy. Anyways, GLWT :D

See, I believe that getting a sampler kit is a waste of money. For me, pressing only one switch with one finger over and over wouldn't get me a taste of the switch. I'd need a proper full keyboard of them.

Yeah, that is true. I know there's a few GHers in Texas, if any of them are close and have browns, ask if you can try em out :)

Updated OP, decided I would like a new keycap set a little bit more than a new keyboard.
