Title: Is there a US distributor of Filco keyboards?
Post by: jksteger on Thu, 02 May 2013, 09:13:05
I tried to search for this but came up empty handed.  I found many topics for The Keyboard Co. in the UK but nothing for the US.

Is there a distributor in the US for Filco?

I'm an Alps fanboy and looking for the Filco Zero with Blue Alps!  Can anyone point me in the right direction? LOL

thanks,

J.

AFAIK, the only company that officially sells Filcos in the US is NCIX, but they don't have any Zeros.

You won't be able to find a Filco Zero. Theres maybe 4 guys on GH who have it and they're not selling. I know who owns the last one that Filco sold.

Moose I'll fight you for it. Right now. Forest, 10 paces, let's go.

Edit: Wait, did the Zero come in a Blue Alps variant? I thought it came with White XM Alps Clones as the stock switch?

You want to fight a moose? Maybe you should rank up to COLBadAss before you think about that, buddy.

As far as I know that was the only switch option. But I believe you can swap them out with others. So he'd have to find a donor board with the switches he wants.

Ok yeah, that's what I thought. I'd love a Zero with Blue Alps as well...

And I rank up for no man, I'm like Pikachu, no need to evolve. Come at me brah

The Keyboard Company is the US distributor, distributing through Amazon.

CPT, that's pretty much what everyone want.. Idk why we just don't make a phantom alps pcb and the problem of finding a filco zero is gone... Everyone can have one xD

This is a perfect idea. And it could easily fit in a Filco case. The only problem would be finding switches for most people...

Well I'm making my own TKL Alps board to solve this issue. Check my Wiki page for details. But I agree, we should do a TKL Alps board. It'll go well with the GH60-Alps variant. I know you tried to start one but I'd be really into this.

No problem finding switches, matias switches are really cheap, as well as buying an old keyboard from eBay to harvest from.

Made a thread a while back over t DT but I guess modern stuff isn't too desirable over there.
