I really have never seen anything like that before. It looks like something a Communist dictator would use...

A Dremel could probably mod those caps to fit MX switches. The stem seems like it might work, you'd just have to remove the support beams from the stem to the side of the cap. MAYBE, thin the thickness of the stem a bit.

Stuff like these really are rare items, and collector pieces. Most of these stuff went into the trash heaps in 1990's after socialist times ended and of course none of it was exported outside to western countries during its production. These have Bulgarian made copy of Cherry M7 type switch. It's a very cool item, best left as a historical display piece.

Those look like the typewriter caps I sold recently. The crossbars of the "+" on mine were almost 5mm long instead of something like 3.5mm for Cherry, and the actual legs were about 1.5mm thick vs about 1mm.

^ +1. I absolutely agree. This is a living relic from the cold war and should not be modded or changed. Hopefully a rich colllector will buy it and keep it as it should be kept.

I like the look of it! It looks really cool :) Should I get it and keep it in a safe place?
