Just got some of the supplies (and time) that I've been waiting for to start this. I enjoy modding keyboards, and I need a little extra scrap because I'm moving. I'm going to try to charge very reasonable prices for the work being done. Obviously I'm not as well known, or as established as WFD, Gupgup, SmallFry, JD, etc, etc etc. But I am experienced with the soldering iron, and with switch modification. As such, I am offering my services for free for the first two users who PM me.
Services
Soldering/Desoldering
Keyboard Assembly (GH60, Phantom, Ergodox, etc.)
Plate Installation
LED Installation
Switch Lubing (I use Krytox 103 for the sliders, and Victorinox oil
Stickering
Switch Modification (changing out stems/springs or modifying switch housing to be removable with LEDs installed)
=====================================
Obviously it'll be smoother and faster if you source the parts, but I'm willing to help you or even source the parts myself.
I'm not going to immediately list prices, but rather handle it on a case by case basis determining what exactly needs to be done and what parts need to be acquired (if any).
I'll accept most trades for keyboard goodies in lieu of money, especially if they involve brobots/CC/girlDC caps :P

Good luck remedyhalopc!
PS - He's never modded anything for me, but I can vouch for him trust wise.

Hmmm..........I'm interested

Does a QF TK worth anything? I am thinking of getting a phantom with green switches, can I use my board as part of the payment?

Feel free to send a PM. :)

Eh. I'd be turning around and either harvesting it for parts, or selling it. So, whatever TKs go for on the classifieds ($50 IIRC). I'd accept it.
Also green switches

PS - Advice; don't lube switches when you're very tired lol

Blue alps are lovely. Totally convinced me that they're the switch I want in the GH60A. Some kind of Cream alps clone on top.

Desoldered in a pretty stack.

Can see the Alps logo here.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think photo bucket is compressing my potato pictures to new levels of potato. Let me know if those are clear for you desktop users.

hey haven't heard back from you yet.

We should consolidate all the people providing these services into one sticky thread as well as all the people sleeving cables. It would be nice to have an idea of each one's current workload so that we can see who would probably be able to give us the quickest turnaround.
-
Thumbs up for offering these services! (been in communications with remedyhalopc about swapping springs).

Holding any more orders for a week besides the two I have right now. All my free time is going to volunteering right now.
