Title: High Resolution Industrial Trackballs
Post by: goibhniu on Thu, 09 May 2013, 05:24:44
I've been doing some research on high resolution trackballs and it was looking like the CST laser trackball was the only game in town until I stumbled across a nice selection of industrial trackballs. There are some interesting options: some are backlit, some have multiple wheels around them or buttons and many can be plugged in directly via USB without the need for extra electronics. I've found a supplier in Europe who sells them online and I'm very temped to try one out myself so I thought I'd post a link here in case anyone else is interested:

Great find! Embedding one of these in a desk (and making it USB compatible) would make for a great mod :)

It comes USB and PS/2 ready.
I saw this when I viewed a product PDF:

Quote
These combo USB & PS/2 trackball units have a 1,6 meter long shielded straight cable ended by a USB type A plug.
An adaptor to PS/2 is added. No special device driver is needed, use standard available drivers of your operating system.

Browsing on my phone, they just looked like a c to me...so wasn't sure if I just couldn't see the lines or some other currency.
