Title: New guy
Post by: airbornezim on Thu, 09 May 2013, 21:12:05
Hi,

I'm a newbie here, but not a newbie to great mechanical keyboards.  I've been using my old Apple Mac extended keyboard for years and years....since 1993 at least!

Now I'm looking to do two things. 1. get an old IBM AT keyboard or a new clickykeyboard model.

And 2 is to embed a Raspberry Pi into my trusty old Mac Plus keyboard M0110A.

So I'll be asking for help to see how to adapt the Apple RJ11 keyboard cable to a the Raspberry Pi's breakout board connector.

I look forward to it!

Zim

Hi there,

I think someone embedded a a Raspberry Pi into a Cherry 3000 series keyboard it was quite awesome I have to say.

I saw that raspberry pi in the cherry keyboard too, that's what got me to thinking that it would fit into the old Apple keyboard.

I don't know what the Apple M0010A keyboard used for switches, but it sure was loud when typing.  Should make a cool retro device.

If that doesn't work, then the Raspberry Pi will have to go into an old Commodore 64 I have!
