Title: [WTB] Tipro MID Master Controller
Post by: funkymeeba on Sat, 11 May 2013, 02:42:14
So, I must have bad luck or something. I have two Tipro modules that have faulty master controllers. One isn't detected by ChangeMe at all, the other cannot be used to program the keyboards. I'm looking for spare Tipro MID master controllers if anyone has them.

Seriously, if you have a Tipro keyboard module that is from 2002 or before, let me know. I'm looking for this particular piece (these are two different revisions, black is newer):

No joke, guys, I'd really like to get one of my matrix boards running, but my controllers are shot. If you've got an old Tipro MID module and are using it for showcasing some keycaps, let me know. The controller is easy to remove from that plastic plate, so no need to worry about the board's aesthetics.

I'm offering $5 (and I'll cover shipping, of course) for these. I am expecting most that are presently floating around to be flaky at best (note that I have now stumbled across two bad ones).

What are you using to program these? XP, Windows 7.....

XP 32-bit at present. Win7 32-bit had the same failure with the newer controller (write failure that even Tipro support was not able to help with), and the older controller isn't detected at all by ChangeMe. Same PS/2 cable for both, and this same rule applies if I swap the controllers between the two keyboard modules.
