Title: Hello Geekhackers!
Post by: Bazmatronic on Tue, 14 May 2013, 02:54:33
My name's Baz and I've just joined the realms of mechanical keyboards with my Ducky Shine 2 : )  I was totally amazed at the sheer number of sites and supporters for mech keybs, and also the amount of modding that goes on, and I have to admit I seem to have caught the bug.  Here's to some interesting chats!

I got the MX blues - I just love the clickiness and tactile feel of them, they just feel so old-school : )

I only got my Ducky this week but after fitting the alternative red WASD keys, I'm already looking to customise the caps!  The only problem I have is that I've got LED backlighting, so finding caps that allow the LEDs to shine through seems difficult.  I have green backlighting to match my PC's green cold cathode tube and LED case fans, and the green lighting on my Sharkoon Fireglider gaming mouse, so I'm currently looking for a TKL set of green caps, but am considering clear caps too.

Lucky time to join Geekhack. Techkeys is currently producing a polycarb set for backlit boards. KeyPop also has a backlit set in the making :D

You can also hunt for a CCnG keycap set if you like the Green colored theme.
