Hello guys.
I've been browsing your pleasant forum for about a month now. After getting interested in mechanical keyboards from 4chan's /g/ (tech) page.
Atm I have a Logitech wireless keyboard. Which I actually really like.
But im going clacky! Rejoice. Im planning on getting a leopold fc700r
with brown switches in graphite. And was going to put some pbt colour caps on the CTRLs alts shifts and esc. And get a braided cable from mimic cables. What are your thoughts guys? Glad to be here. Thanks guys..

Are you from Korea? Those are hard to get unless you're from Korean for Australia. There is currently a small group buy from them here (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=43085.0).

The OEM Leopold caps are really flat. Much lower than the Cherry profile.

I think that's a great plan. The graphite FC700R is a great look on its own and I love me some browns :D

Would have different profile keys looks strange if I went about with the mods? It was something I was really hoping to do.

Are you referring to the tops of the caps or the profile? WFD told me Leopold cap profile was between cherry and OEM.

It's all personal preference. I could never handle using caps with different profiles, but others don't mind it.

The profile.
I think I will just buy the modifier pack I wanted to get (Only $15) and see what it looks like.
I plan to get into Mech boards abit, already looking to see what my 2nd one  will be :P so the spare caps won't be a problem if I don't like the change in profile.

Anyone know where I can see a pic of a keyboard using different profile caps?
