Hm, I believe that this should be in the Off-Topic sub-forum. But there's no cure, just give us your paychecks now and be poor but happy :P

Actually there is a cure, but it won't save you any money.

Start making your own.  Suddenly store-bought parts will seem...boring.

It is funny, when I got the chance to buy some I did not even consider the cost and it somehow felt like I was getting them for free (knowing what you need to do to acquire them in any other way). Anyone with no interest in these things would be astonished with how I paid 60 dollars for only a few keycaps.

Quick, someone edit the Wikipedia entry to include keyboard collections:

I should know better by now.  I get boards and use them for a while and then come on here and read about something and I think, I've GOT to have that and well, I've GOT to have it!

One thing I love to do is order old keyboards off of eBay.  I HAVE to go by the thrift store, Goodwill, etc. each week to look for old keyboards, it's fun.

I have one keyboard that was my all time favorite, at least from what I remember.  The keyboard had an old AT connection.  Large "L" enter key and it came with an old 286 or 386 PC from a company named: Laser Computers or something similar.  They may have been sold at SEARS in the late 80's early 90's.  My friend had this on his mom's PC and I loved it so much, I gave him a replacement keyboard from Wal-Mart and a $20.00 bill and he just took it off his mom's PC and gave it to me!

I don't know what happened to the board during all the moves in college, marriage, divorce, etc. LOL  It got lost somewhere.  Hell, my ex-wife probably got it in the divorce...she got everything else so it just stands to reason, LOL.

Everyone look out for that keyboard.  Heck, I need to just post a WTB in the classifieds for the keyboard. :)
