Title: Question about the Noppoo Choc mini
Post by: Ferdowsi on Fri, 17 May 2013, 14:44:44
For the keyboard, are the actual keycaps smaller than your "standard" keycap?

They're slightly lower-profile (less tall) than typical Cherry switches, but otherwise are completely standard.

I'm wrong.

Huh?

They're Cherry-profile (same height as Cherry keycaps).

Isn't the spacebar a little off? I forget. If you post in the Simple Questions Simple Answers thread, I'm sure an expert will know.

Some people have posted having a couple odd problems. Mine works great so far. My only gripe is the odd size space bar which you will never find a replacement for and they never have choc mini size in group buys that I've seen.

Whoops, sorry for the wrong info. They just looked shorter than all the other boards with Cherry MX keycaps that I've used, but either those other boards didn't have Cherry profile or I just judged the height incorrectly.

Some people have issues with keys registering more times than expected, this may be fixable though.

Choc mini doesn't work on OS X out of the box.

Stabilizers need to be lubed. Spacebar is different from anything else, but it doesn't really matter since default keycaps are pretty awesome.

There's a real big problem with "rebounding" with these keyboards and I don't know if its the Cherry MX Red switch or the keyboard itself that causes it, but Fn + F10 fixes this problem.
